An improvisational dance competition unlike any other, Colors Battle merges movement, music, and visual storytelling into a fully immersive experience. Set to the dynamic soundscapes of Eindhoven’s Strijkplank Collective, this event blends the best elements of clubbing, jamming, and competition into one thrilling night.

How it works

Qualification Round – 10:00 PM

Dancers step into an open pre-selection round, moving freely to the beats of Kajoinboy, one of Eindhoven’s most talented soundscapers. No registration is required—just bring your energy to the dancefloor. Within 90 minutes, a panel of expert judges will select eight standout performers to move on to the main battle.

The Main Event – Midnight

Once selected, each of the top 8 dancers picks a color. Their challenge? To embody the essence of their chosen hue through movement. With just three minutes to improvise to a track inspired by their color, creativity and adaptability become key. The winner—judged on technique, musicality, and storytelling—takes home a €500 cash prize.

Party

The night doesn’t end with the battle. As the competition wraps up, the event transforms into a high-energy party, fueled by the infectious beats of Strijkplank Collective. Expect deep basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and an atmosphere buzzing with creativity.
